Rivers is an absolute goat. No not greatest of all time but a total donkey.

Second and three on Denver 45 or so, a shade over 2 minutes to go in the game up 2. Turns the wrong way and no running back to be found. Sacked lost of 5 or 6 to make it 3rd and 8. Two minute warning. They come back out and they were going to run a screen it appeared, he instead of running, falling down or something to keep the clock running decides to just throw it gently in the ground and takes two seconds off the clock. Gives the Broncos the ball with 158 to go instead of around 110.

You know the rest of the story.

He is supposed to be an elite quarterback but yet finds ways to mismanage games and not maximize the use of the clock.

It's just uncanny how this happens to him and the Chargers.

Tough to say who was at fault for the miscommunication on 2nd and 4 unless they addressed it after the game.

But the 3rd and 8, holy shit. For a 15 year vet? That was unreal.

Not only has no team blown more games that they've outplayed their opponents than the Chargers over the last 5 years, but I don't think any team has even blown half as many games as they have. They even had a missed XP yesterday just because it can't be a Chargers 1 point loss without one.

missed extra point didn't matter, but rivers and the chargers did screw up big time late.

Lost the Super Bowl b/c an ass clown can't lay down after an interception. Would've been Super Bowl champs .... but that moment cost Rivers and Schottenheimer history. It would be a totally different world were it not for that one play.

Such is life.

I heard them say on the radio that he still lives near San Diego and he drives 300 miles to practice and back home everyday. Damn, that shit would get old pretty fast.

worst case drive from qualcomm to stubhub is 105 miles each way; but i thought rivers lived in
northern san diego which would cut up to 20 miles off that trip. plus I thought the chargers
practiced in costa mesa which would save another 20 miles on that commute.

i remember when they moved he bought some insane van for travel and has a driver, can watch film. probably likes the time away from all the kids he has.

that play really hurt me on a teaser, about a 500 dollar swing there. it seems common sense to run the ball their, how could they screw it up that much? even take the sack, punt it with about a 1:15 left. thats the kind of play that gets coaches fired.....not that he should have but they are right behind the chiefs in the division, thats a crushing loss when you really can only blame yourself.

Yeah, I know it was inconsequential. Just symbolic.

Before the final FG drive they were also outgaining Den something like 500-250.

He has bothered me for years. The yelling and running around before every snap drives me insane
